All shows are made possible by the dedication and enthusiasm of a growing community of parents, friends, volunteers, donors and theater professionals who share our vision: All kids should have the opportunity to participate in live theater, and to do so in the safety of a kind and non-competitive fellowship.
High School Students
Volunteering on a Polaris production and working with the kids is fun and satisfying. A number of New York City teens have fulfilled their community service graduation requirement by volunteering with Polaris. Contact us using the form below for more information.
Community
Our youth theater is known for building a strong sense of community. It provides many opportunities to make friends, connect with others, learn new skills, and have a great time doing something that’s creative and fun. Many people, young and old, volunteer their time and their skills to make these productions possible.
Our volunteers include parents, high school students, theater arts interns, friends, and former cast members who have gone on to college or beyond. Volunteers design and build set pieces, design and create scenery, help with lighting, help design and create costumes, promote the show, work concessions, sell tickets, and do whatever is needed to provide the best experience possible for everyone concerned.
