Auditions for Les Misérables School Edition
This is our annual spring production, with auditions planned for November 17th and 18th. There will be two after-school rehearsals a week, Tuesdays and Fridays, beginning in January (principals will also rehearse in December). Rehearsals are planned for Cameo Studios on W. 43rd Street. Performances will be April 20-22 and 27-29 at a lovely theater which we will talk about soon. Sign up for the mailing list below, so we can let you know when it’s time to schedule an audition.
Because of the national tour, the School Edition is the only version of Les Mis available. The full version will remain restricted for the next few years. This is your chance! It has been edited lightly for junior and high school performers, yet it still runs a good two hours. Please note: The School Edition requires performers to be 18 and under (no exceptions).
About Our Auditions
My auditions are not competitive and I don’t use them to turn kids away. I want as many kids as possible to experience the joy that theater can bring into their lives. I don’t want a child’s anxiety to stand between them and a potentially life-changing experience, so I work to make my auditions as friendly as possible.
My musical director and I use auditions to help us discover what a child’s vocal abilities are, and to help us get to know each child a little, so that we can cast them in roles that make the most of their unique gifts.
On opening night, when these kids take to the stage, they will delight and enchant you.
I’m very proud of these kids. You will be, too.

All kids are welcome. Polaris is inclusive, friendly, accessible, and dedicated to serving the families of our community.
